Trust on the Journey

There is always a walk of trust before the promise comes… It’s not an easy walk.

It’s a walk that at the time would seem much wiser to just STOP and go another way… but oh, what would've been missed?

Moses

Abraham

Noah

Joseph

David

and so many more

Walking on this journey for the past few months (almost a year) has been so hard. So many questions and, sad to say, lots of murmuring with so many tears.

There’s a voice that says, “It would be so much easier IF…” But HIS voice, so much louder and sweeter, says, “TRUST.”

So many things I don't understand. But I know He has me in His hand.

So, I won't let go, and I won't turn back. I'll fall on my knees again and again until I see His plan and can say, “OHHH, now I understand.”

There is a new day coming! His promise will be revealed.

If you are on this journey, I pray for strength and peace for you each and every day. You can make it… I can make it… We can make it!

God Is Always Near

God is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. (Psalms 46: 1 GNT)

This week, I have been meditating on this thought.  There is so much to this small statement that can be unpacked.  It is a revelation that can set our hearts free from all the fears, worries, and anxious thoughts we face day after day.  In Deuteronomy God told the people of Israel, Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified…for the LORD your God goes with you; He will never leave you or forsake you. What a powerful promise that we can claim.

In James chapter 4 we find hope in knowing that at any time, anyplace we can draw near to God, and He will draw near to us.  He is as close as the mere mention of His name.  Just whispering His name turns His gaze to us.  In Psalm 116 it says because He bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!  He is never too busy. His eyes are over the righteous and His ears are open to their prayers. As we abide in God’s Word and spend time with Him each day, His presence surrounds us, and we can experience life-giving hope and love throughout the day. No matter what we are facing, we have peace in knowing that the LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.  We are His!  His desire is for us to be close to Him so that He can hide us under the shadow of His wings.  He paid the price so that we can be called His children. Oh, what manner of love the Father has given unto us, that we should be called the sons and daughters of the Highest (1 John 3:1).

So, in closing, let us be reminded that nothing can ever separate us from the love of God our heavenly Father.  Whisper Jesus!

Psalms 27

Psalm 27:13

I would have despaired unless I believed that I would see the hand of the Lord in the land of the living.

This is one of my favorite verses.  David is facing moments of doubt and fear, but then he remembers…God has saved him before, and he can and will do it again.

There are times when we are in the depths of despair seeing no way out.  It seems all hope is gone. But we just need to seek God and then wait!  Wait and look out to the horizon where your help comes from.  Listen for the sound of hooves hitting the ground carrying the ministering angels that are coming to minister to your hurt, sorrow and pain.  When you are still…you can hear!

We must NEVER give up!  Hold fast to His promises!  Hold on to His Word!  Listen for His still small voice.

Above all the chaos, the tears and us trying to figure it out…He is saying, Be Still and know that I am God.  I will not leave you.  I will answer…just wait.

In those times of waiting don’t wear yourself out, but REST in Him!  Take a deep breath and breathe out all desperation.  Then remember!  Remember all the times He has come through for you.  He is the same God, and He will do it again.

Encourage yourself and BELIEVE! Nothing is too hard or impossible for our God.  He’s not finished yet!

His Love is so Big

His Love is so Big

Psalm 27:4…One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek

That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life

To behold the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in His temple

Today, as I was sitting here working, I felt HIM so sweetly come into the room.  I love the way that Abba, at times, comes into the room so unexpectedly.  His love is so tangible as it drips like oil filling every space. His love is so BIG that it feels like your heart may burst.  This mortal flesh cannot contain all that HE IS. At that moment, I stopped just to spend time with Him.  I wanted Him to know that He was more important than anything or anyone else.  When you enter the presence of God, there is nothing else like it. David knew that the ultimate place of peace and rest for his soul was in the presence of God. He had tasted the goodness of the Lord and he wanted nothing else.

Better is (JUST) one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere.  (Psalm 84:10)

Nothing compares to His overwhelming love.  Just as Mary, I want to be found sitting at His feet, beholding His beauty, and being lost in His loving gaze.

His Love is so Big

I AM MY BELOVED’S, AND HE IS MINE!

Recently, I read Ephesians chapter one in the Passion Translation Bible. It is such a perfect reminder of God’s plan and His great love for each of us. I have set to read this passage each day as a reminder of the hope, joy, and wonderful truth of my life in Him above all the chaos. In verses, 15-22 Paul continues with a prayer for the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation.  I encourage you to read it all.   I pray that this passage will speak to you and your heart as it has mine.  May His tender, sweet love wrap itself around you, and may you hear His voice so sweetly in your heart.

Ephesians 1:3-22

Every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm has already been lavished upon us as a love gift from our wonderful heavenly Father, the Father of our Lord Jesus—all because he sees us wrapped into Christ. This is why we celebrate Him with all our hearts!

And in love he chose us before he laid the foundation of the universe! Because of his great love, He ordained us, so that we would be seen as holy in his eyes with an unstained innocence.

5–6 For it was always in his perfect plan to adopt us as His delightful children, through our union with Jesus, the Anointed One, so that His tremendous love that cascades over us would glorify his grace for the same love he has for the Beloved, Jesus, he has for us. And this unfolding plan brings Him great pleasure!

7Since we are now joined to Christ, we have been given the treasures of redemption by his blood—the total cancellation of our sins—all because of the cascading riches of his grace.

This superabundant grace is already powerfully working in us, releasing all forms of wisdom and practical understanding.

And through the revelation of the Anointed One, He unveiled his secret desires to us—the hidden mystery of his long-range plan, which He was delighted to implement from the very beginning of time.

10 And because of God’s unfailing purpose, this detailed plan will reign supreme through every period of time until the fulfillment of all the ages finally reaches its climax—when God makes all things new in all of heaven and earth through Jesus Christ.

14 He is given to us like an engagement ring, as the first installment of what’s coming! He is our hope-promise of a future inheritance which seals us until we have all of redemption’s promises and experience complete freedom—all for the supreme glory and honor of God!
