SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 Exodus 23:27 I will send My fear before you, I will cause confusion among all the people to whom you come and will make all your enemies turn their backs to you. Throughout their journey in the wilderness, Israel was encouraged time and again not to fear their enemies and especially those who were in the […]
SEPTEMBER 29, 2021 Exodus 23:24-25 You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their works; but you shall utterly overthrow them and completely break down their sacred pillars. So you shall serve the Lord your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. Spoken […]
SEPTEMBER 28, 2021 Exodus 23:22 But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries. Because God’s Name (authority) was in this very unique and important angel, obedience was due Him. In other words, to listen to and […]
SEPTEMBER 27, 2021 Exodus 23:20-21 “Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.” Yesterday I shared that the Hebrew word shem, […]
SEPTEMBER 26, 2021 Exodus 23:13 And in all that I have said to you, be circumspect and make no mention of the name of other gods, nor let it be heard from your mouth. What was meant by this command? SEPTEMBER 24, 2021 Exodus 23:4-5 If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again. If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying under its burden, and you would refrain from helping it, you shall surely help him with it. I’m going to […]

You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; nor shall you testify in a dispute so as to turn aside after many to pervert justice. When summarized, these two verses are about integrity, specifically, […]

There are varying ways in which to interpret this verse due to the fact that the Hebrew word translated as “God” is elohim. In fact, there are some translations that render that word as “judges” rather than God, which […]

In this particular case, […]
SEPTEMBER 19, 2021 Exodus 22:21 You shall neither mistreat a stranger nor oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt. As I shared yesterday, the Bible is adamant that God’s people should not oppress or mistreat those who are strangers among us. We should treat all people in the way that God wants […]
