PASSOVER OFFERING
Passover serves as a powerful symbol of Christ’s sacrifice – a sacrifice that not only brought salvation to the world but also offers protection from the judgment that is to come. This year, Passover begins before sundown on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, and ends after nightfall on Thursday, April 9, 2026. In the original Passover, God commanded the Hebrews to take the blood of a spotless lamb and apply it to the doorposts of their homes. This act was more than just a ritual; it was a foreshadowing of a greater sacrifice. God knew that one day, He would offer Himself as the ultimate sacrifice – His only Son, Jesus. Just as the lamb’s blood marked the Hebrews’ homes for protection, the blood of Jesus marks our hearts, offering us salvation. Jesus understood the profound connection between the Passover lamb and His own destiny. In Matthew 26:17-20, we see this recognition as He prepares to observe Passover with His disciples: “Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto Him, ‘Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the Passover?’ And He said, ‘Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the Passover at thy house with my disciples.’ And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them, and they made ready the Passover. Now when the even was come, He sat down with the twelve.” During Passover, we reflect on the profound truth that Christ willingly gave His life for us. His death not only secured our salvation but also grants to us peace with our Heavenly Father in our lives now. As we remember Christ’s sacrifice, we invite you to reflect on the impact He has made in your life and in the lives of countless others around the world.
